Welcome to the AlJarreau.com message boards. We are so thrilled to be able to give Al's fans a place to hang out and share. This is a place to share your thoughts about Al's music and how it has touched your lives, any concerts you have attended, pictures, music discoveries..all things Al... and connect with other fans! We want this to be a welcoming, supportive community that people will enjoy visiting so there are some rules and policies you need to be aware of. Please read the User Agreement/Terms of Service. Some specifics to keep things going smoothly:

- Please don't post copyrighted material unless you own the copyright.
- No spamming! Please don't post advertisements, chain letters, or solicitations
- No flaming (personal attacks on other users)- it is fine to offer a counter-point to something that someone posts but do not put others down. Question the content/topic, not the person presenting it.

Working musicians are extremely busy, especially in the current music biz climate. Because of this, most artists stop by their BBs from time to time but not on a super-regular basis. Al is recording, rehearsing, touring all over the world, writing, he is involved in community service projects and taking the personal and family time that an artist (and everyone!) needs to stay creative and active. This board is mainly for fans to communicate with each other. Those who need to contact Al directly are asked to go through the contacts that are listed on the website's contact page.

A few notes about Posting. If you frequent other BBs these are basic stuff but for you newbies here are some things to help you and us out.
- Please post in the proper forum. Most topics will end up in the general forum. Concerts and tour date info go in Al On Tour. Pictures in the Pictures area and other discusssions in the Other Artists and General Conversation area.
- When you are adding a comment to a topic that is already being discussed open that topic then post a reply. That way the board won't be cluttered and the discussions can keep going. The topic with the most recent posting will automatically move to the top of the stack within that forum.
- Instructions for posting photos are in the photo section. If you still have trouble please contact a moderator
